Health and Wellness Initiative
Some patients, especially children, need urgent care or an organ transplant that commercial travel cannot reach. Our Health and Wellness Initiative provides private flights equipped for medical emergencies, free of charge, so a child can get to a specialized hospital or treatment center. Through our partnership with AeroAngel, medically fragile children who cannot safely fly commercial reach children's hospitals at no cost to their families.
How it works
Some children cannot safely board a commercial airplane. Commercial flights run on rigid schedules and carry no medical support, and that combination poses real risks for a fragile patient. The Bogucki Foundation offers private flights equipped for medical emergencies, for safe and swift transport to a specialized hospital or treatment center. Through our partnership with AeroAngel, those dedicated flights go to children's hospitals at no cost to the family.
Why timing matters
For children with life-threatening illnesses or awaiting organ transplants, time is critical. A private flight can be arranged around the child and the hospital rather than around an airline timetable. That may mean carrying a child to a specialized hospital for treatment, or reaching a transplant center when an organ becomes available.
What it changes
These flights ease the emotional and financial burdens that families are carrying. Because the service is free, access to critical care is not limited by a family's location or situation. No parent is handed a bill for getting their child to treatment.
Families never pay for a flight. Removing the financial and logistical barriers is the whole point, so that cost is never the reason a child stays home.
The plane is equipped for critical care and tailored to the child's needs, which a commercial cabin is not. That is what makes the trip possible for a passenger who is medically fragile.
There are no crowded airports and no rigid schedules to meet. For a fragile patient, that is not simply a comfort. It is a matter of safety.
Clinical trials
For a child battling cancer, a clinical trial can represent their last hope when standard treatments fall short. Getting to that trial should not be the obstacle. We provide the flight, so the family can put their attention on the appointment and the days that follow it.

With no crowded airports and no rigid schedules, the trip becomes a moment of excitement and dignity rather than one more ordeal to get through. We cannot change a diagnosis. We can make the trip itself something a child looks forward to.
Wellness in the community
The initiative also promotes community health through screenings, nutrition, and mental health support. These supportive services are meant to enhance community health and promote overall wellness for the people around us. The goal on the ground is the same as it is in the air, which is to take away the barriers that keep a person from care.

Together the three meet different parts of the same need, which is to help individuals and families regain stability and thrive.
