Our Journey
The Bogucki Foundation has been a beacon of hope in our community since its inception, with a history rooted in compassion and community engagement. What that history has always meant in practice is putting essential resources and support within reach of people who need them. Education, health, and social welfare are the three places we concentrate that effort.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower individuals and foster positive change through initiatives focused on education, health, and social welfare. We are dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families, providing essential resources and support to those in need. Together, we strive to create a more equitable and compassionate world.
Vital resources and engaging workshops that enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged youth. Participants gain skills that prepare them for future academic and career opportunities, and the program connects students and families in a network of support around them.
Support for community health through screenings, nutrition, and mental health resources. This initiative is also home to our charity flights, arranged in partnership with AeroAngel, which carry medically fragile children who cannot safely travel on commercial airlines to children's hospitals at no cost to their families.
Food, shelter, and counseling for individuals and families facing hardship, aimed at restoring stability and hope. Working with local housing support partners, we distribute hardware supplies to support home repairs and rebuilding, and we support Cops and Bobbers, where young children experience fishing with their local police officers.
What We Believe
Compassion, equity, and community engagement guide our efforts to provide essential resources and support to those in need. Integrity and collaboration guide our work and our interactions.
We start with the person in front of us. Compassion is what makes a program worth running, and it shapes both the help we offer and the way we offer it.
We strive for a more equitable and compassionate world, and we direct resources toward the youth and families with the least access to them. Where someone lives or what they can afford should not decide what help is available to them.
We reach further alongside others than we could alone. Partnerships, including our flight partnership with AeroAngel and our local housing support work, extend what our programs are able to do.
Integrity guides our work and our interactions. We are careful about what we promise and straightforward with the families we serve, the volunteers who give their time, and the partners who work with us.
