Who we are

Our mission and values

Bogucki Foundation has a rich history rooted in compassion and community engagement. Our mission is to empower individuals and foster positive change through initiatives focused on education, health, and social welfare. We believe in the values of integrity, collaboration, and equity, which guide our work and our interactions. Our team of experienced professionals and passionate volunteers works toward a more equitable and compassionate community.

Our programs

Three programs, one purpose

At Bogucki Foundation, we are dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families. Each program answers a different need, and each one stands on its own. Together they build a stronger, more equitable community.

Community Education Program

Workshops, grants, and resources that enhance educational opportunities for underprivileged youth. Participants gain vital skills that prepare them for future academic and career opportunities, in sessions built to be interactive and engaging. The program also connects students and families in a network of support that encourages personal growth and collaboration.

Health and Wellness Initiative

Promoting community health through screenings, nutrition, and mental health support. This is also where our medical flights sit. In partnership with AeroAngel, dedicated flights carry medically fragile children to children's hospitals when commercial travel is not safe for them, at no cost to their families.

Social Welfare Support

Food, shelter, and counseling for individuals and families facing hardship, aimed at restoring stability and hope. Our support extends beyond immediate needs through counseling and resources that promote self-sufficiency. It also includes the smaller things that boost morale, right down to fishing supplies.

In the community

Close to home

Social welfare is not only about what gets handed out. It is also about the connections that come with it, and the community that forms around them.

Cops and Bobbers

Young children experience fishing with their local police officers. The program fosters positive relationships and builds trust, strengthening community bonds through a shared activity. Uplifting opportunities for engagement are part of the work, not a footnote to it.

Home repairs with the Diocese of Camden

In collaboration with the Diocese of Camden, we distribute hardware supplies that support home repairs and rebuilding efforts. It is practical aid for families facing housing challenges.

One family's story

What it looked like for Ava

Ava was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of two. Years later she relapsed, and her family needed to reach a transplant team in Philadelphia to continue her care. Her immune system was incredibly low and she was not able to fly commercial, so the foundation arranged the flight.

Alyssa Luciano, Ava's mother

Ava had not even stepped outside for 25 days until that day. When the family got back on the plane, she received a box of games and toys that had been specially picked for her, and they spent the flight home playing Uno. In her mother's words, "Ava felt like a princess for the day."

One family's story

What it looked like for Jalyn

Jalyn Wolford

This particular journey reunited the Wolford family of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, after their nearly 2-year-old daughter, Jalyn, underwent a bone marrow transplant to treat a rare genetic condition. Commercial travel posed significant health risks for Jalyn, but thanks to the generosity of the Bogucki Foundation, we were able to provide a private flight home, ensuring her safety.

The family was warmly welcomed by friends and relatives at the Fargo Jet Center, marking a beautiful reunion after five challenging months apart. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Bogucki Foundation for making this flight possible.

In their own words.

“The appointment that we attended the day that your crew flew us would not have been possible without you. Her immune system is incredibly low and she was not able to fly commercial. When we got back on the plane, she received the box of games and toys that were specially picked for her. She was so excited and couldn’t believe they were for her.”
